Head of Marketing (m/f/d)

Subscription Management Systems are a new type of business software that contribute a small but essential part to the digital value chain for recurring business models.

Founded in 2015, billwerk is now one of the market leaders in this SaaS segment with currently approx. 70 employees. European companies and corporations from all industries, such as RTL Group, Haufe Lexware, Cornelsen and EWE AG, successfully automate and scale their subscription business with the billwerk platform.

billwerk is looking for a dynamic marketing leader with proven success partnering closely with sales to grow existing channels and establish new markets in order to exceed revenue targets. This role is responsible for our business-to-business marketing strategy including market solutions, demand generation, and channel marketing initiatives that translate into increased market share. This position reports to the chief sales officer and is a key member of the company’s leadership team.

As our Head of Marketing, you will:

  • Develop, support, and grow our enterprise marketing team while collaborating across the organization to establish workflows and processes that scale
  • Lead the development and execution of our marketing strategy and go-to-market efforts
  • Organize and grow our team, guide them with a cohesive growth plan, and use a data-informed mindset to help them drive results
  • Help the company engage with a broader audience and leverage it to keep growing at a high rate
  • Partner with the CSO to drive qualified prospective customers to the funnel and engage them with the right messaging. One of your team’s success measures will be driving leads that engage with Sales
  • Manage and develop our brand guidelines
  • Continuously measure and communicate the success of B2B marketing approaches and programs

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise/B2B marketing; 4+ years leading a team
  • A strong understanding of the SaaS ecosystem
  • Proven success scaling a B2B marketing team in a high-growth environment
  • Deep experience designing and implementing marketing strategies and demand generation programs that have consistently contributed to meeting/exceeding revenue targets, including experience with ABM, CRM, list acquisition, marketing automation, events
  • Experience leading new business initiatives cross-functionally, and presenting and selling ideas to varied audiences
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships and influence, within and outside areas of control
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
